BoardConnect, NonProfitConnect’s flagship program, is a comprehensive training program for participants who are interested in serving on a board or who are already serving on a board and want to sharpen their skills. Through BoardConnect training, prospective board members receive six (virtual) or eight (in person) hours of training on several key areas of nonprofit board service:

  • Governance
  • Fiduciary Responsibility
  • Fundraising
  • Legal Issues

Following the training, participants have the opportunity to attend the “Meet & Greet” for a speed dating experience of meeting multiple local nonprofits to find organizations that match their interests and are searching for board members.

This program is also available virtually or in person to companies. NonProfitConnect is proud to have trained employees of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, NRG and Janssen Pharmaceutica to serve as nonprofit board members. For more information, contact Allison Howe.

The next rounds of BoardConnect training will take place in Fall 2020. The dates for those two rounds of training are listed below.
